Walking speed affect the longevity

new study found that walking speed and walking slower than people who live longer. Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh in the U.S. recently for the elderly Medical Association's annual Congress on their studies.

The researchers of the 492 adults for as long as nine years of research. Research shows that in the nine years, walking speed and 27% of those who died, of those who walk slow, there are 77% of the deaths. Researchers took into account gender, race, age, chronic disease, hospitalization and other factors and found that walking speed of a person's life expectancy seems to be the length of an independent factor. The researchers said that people often stumble or still vigorous step, such as the pace of flying to describe a person's body condition, while the results of this study may become a doctor to determine a person's state of health as a basis for early symptoms.



The researchers pointed out that the walking speed can be displayed the body of the function of many organs, such as heart, lungs, limbs, circulatory system, but once walking speed sudden slow down, the doctor will be careful diagnosis to determine whether it is caused by heart failure and other issues .
